At every place: 📖 read the story first (it has all the answers!), then ⚔️ pass the challenge — 5 questions about what you just read.

🌙 A fresh land every day

You can play a whole land each day — every place in it, plus the boss! But once you pass a place it closes (🌙) until tomorrow, so you can't just repeat the same one. Fail? No worries — that doesn't count, so keep trying until you pass.

When you've cleared everything in a land, it shows "done for today" — come back tomorrow for another go. The ⛏️ Maths Mine never closes, and the Daily Challenge and battles are open all day too!

⭐ Stars unlock the way

Get 3 right = ⭐. Get 4 right = ⭐⭐. Get ALL 5 right = ⭐⭐⭐ and a +5 gem bonus!

Earn at least one star to unlock the next place. Don't worry if you miss — you can try again, and the game always explains the answer!

🎴 Catch Pals

Pass a challenge and you'll catch a Pal — a creature with its own card, special move and attack power!

There are 135 Pals: Commons, RARES 🔷, shiny LEGENDARIES 🌟, MYTHICS 💠 (only in the shop!) — and just 3 DIAMOND TIER Pals 💎, the rarest of all. Diamonds can't be bought or traded: they're found by chance when you pass a level, about once in 100 — get one and everyone will be jealous! See them all in your 🏰 Pal Stable.

🎒 Stuck? Ask a Pal!

On tricky questions, tap Ask a Pal for help — your Pal scares away TWO wrong answers.

⚠️ But careful: afterwards it might run away! Rarer Pals are braver. Use hints wisely...

👑 Boss battles

Get at least 3/5 at all 5 places in a land to wake its BOSS. Bosses are serious: there's a ⏰ timer on every question, and if you get one wrong the boss heals itself!

Answer 3 in a row for a 💥 CRITICAL HIT (double damage). Beating a boss gives you a 1-in-3 chance of catching a LEGENDARY Pal 🌟 — no luck? Beat it again for another go! Defeat all six bosses... and the Shadow Champion awaits.

💎 Earning Gems

Gems are precious — you earn them by doing brilliantly, not just by playing:

🥇 First time you get 5/5 on a level: +2 💎  ·  👑 Beat a land boss: +5 💎  ·  🐲 Beat the Shadow Champion: +10 💎  ·  🗓️ Daily Challenge: up to +3 💎  ·  ⚔️ Win a battle: +3 💎. Saving up takes time — that's what makes the best Pals special!

🛒 The Pal Shop

Spend gems on Crystals that contain a random Pal — Mystery (15💎), Rare (40💎), Legendary (120💎) or MYTHIC (250💎)!

Or trade up the ladder: 4 Commons → 1 Rare, 3 Rares → 1 Legendary, and 5 Legendaries → 1 MYTHIC. Traded Pals leave your stable for good — trade carefully!

🗓️ Daily Challenge

One special challenge every day — everyone in the world gets the SAME questions. Keep your 🔥 streak going and share your score grid with friends!

⚔️ Battle your friends (or the computer!)

Friend Battle: two players, one device. Take turns drafting a team of 3 Pals, then answer questions — right answers make your Pal attack! Last team standing wins.

Quick Battle: fight a 🤖 computer trainer — Easy, Medium or the fearsome Grandmaster Gizmo. Safe practice — you win gems but never risk your Pals.

⚠️ Real stakes: in Friend & Ghost battles the winner captures one of the loser's Pals, and any Pal you lose runs away for good. Win it back in the lands or the Pal Shop!

Ghost Battle 👻: record a battle and send the link — your friend fights your ghost with their own Pals!

Pal Passport 🛂: in the Pal Stable, get your Passport code. Type it on a friend's device to battle with YOUR collection!
